APPLE GROVE, W.Va. -- Police in Mason County said they have a suspect in a robbery at a post office this morning.
A young male wearing a mask robbed the Apple Grove post office at 27853 Huntington Road at about 10 a.m., said Mason County emergency dispatchers.
Mason County Chief Deputy R.A. Wilson said the alleged robber did not have a weapon. Deputies identified him from witness accounts and surveillance footage, Wilson said.
Wilson would not release the suspect's name, but said deputies are working to obtain an arrest warrant for second-degree robbery.
Deputies are searching for the suspect to bring him into custody.
Witnesses told dispatchers the man jumped into an older-model white car heading south on W.Va. 2 toward Huntington.
